Valerie Meyers is your Conservative Constitutional Republican Candidate for US Congress, GA-8
Valerie Meyers for Congress 2010

(BONAIRE, GA) Today Valerie Meyers, Republican congressional candidate for Georgia’s 8th District signed the Club for Growth’s Repeal It! pledge to sponsor and support legislation to repeal any federal health care takeover passed in 2010.

“The government and the healthcare industry have become increasingly interdependent and intertwined,” Meyers said. “So much so now that many of our tax dollars go toward government sponsored healthcare programs and initiatives. This leads to Georgians receiving back only a portion of tax dollars sent in to Washington for healthcare with many strings attached. I will only support legislation that puts the people back in control of their own care and the care of their family.”

The Club for Growth is the nation’s premier free-market, free enterprise group of conservatives. Meyers is the first candidate in Georgia’s 8th District to sign the Repeal It! pledge and is one of only three candidates in the state to agree to uphold the pledge.

Meyers, an active member of the Georgia GOP and mother of two, recently completed coursework for her Master's degree in international business from Mercer University. Meyers announced last November that she would seek the 8th Congressional District seat now currently held by Democrat Jim Marshall. She is the top-ranked Congressional candidate on LibertySlate.com’s ranking of non-incumbent Republican candidates seeking U.S. office.
